Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, working Electrical Foreman / Journeyman Electrician to lead our field crews on commercial and industrial projects. In this role, you will split your time between supervising a small team and actively installing electrical systems. You will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety regulations. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

We are seeking a skilled, working Electrical Foreman / Journeyman Electrician to lead our field crews on commercial and industrial projects. In this role, you will split your time between supervising a small team and actively installing electrical systems. You will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety regulations. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Working Leadership: Lead by example by performing electrical installations while supervising and mentoring journeymen and apprentice electricians.
- Daily Crew Direction: Assign tasks to crew members, monitor productivity, and resolve immediate on-site technical issues.
- Hands-on Installation: Run conduit (EMT, IMC, RMC), pull wire, wire 3-phase transformers, install switchgear, and connect motor control centers (MCCs).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and isolate faults in diverse commercial and industrial environments, using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit tracers to pinpoint and repair the root causes of system failures.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret commercial blueprints, industrial schematics, and wiring diagrams to layout work routes and install equipment accurately.
- On-Site Safety: Conduct weekly toolbox talks, ensure proper PPE usage, and enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-incident job site.
- Material Management: Track daily material usage, organize tools, and report material shortages to the project manager to avoid delays.
- Reporting: Maintain daily logs detailing job progress, material shortages, and constraints affecting the completion schedule.
- Code Compliance: Maintain high craftsmanship standards, ensuring all work passes municipal inspections and meets NEC and NFPA 70E guidelines.
- Licensing: Valid state Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of commercial/industrial field experience, with at least 1–2 years of experience leading small crews or acting as a lead journeyman.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, controls, conduit bending, and reading commercial blueprints/industrial schematics/wiring diagrams.
- Safety Certifications: OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E training are highly preferred.
- Tools: Must possess a complete set of standard hand tools required for journeyman-level electrical work. Power tools and Metering tools are provided by the company.
- Records and Screenings:
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and maintain a driving record that meets our commercial auto insurance standards.
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts at various heights.
- Comfortable standing, kneeling, and working at various heights or in varying weather conditions.
